Alton Towers Resort Reveals Refurbished Chocolate Factory Themed Hotel Suite

Alton Towers Resort has partnered with Cadbury to create the ultimate room for chocolate lovers. Step inside the sensational chocolate factory themed suite at Britain’s greatest escape and explore the mechanics and secret hideaways for tasty treats and exciting surprises.

The fantabulous suite in the Alton Towers Hotel is decked out to look like the interior of a chocolate factory, it is painted the iconic Cadbury purple, features pressure dials on the walls, pipes around the ceiling and bags of responsibly sourced fake cocoa beans. Guests can immerse themselves in the interactive room by hunting for the hidden chocolate and solve the clue to unlock the safe full of more delicious delights.

The room which sleeps up to six, is divided into two and boasts a large double bed, a double sofa bed and themed bunkbeds. The lounge area features large cogs on the wall behind the iconic Cadbury logo so guests can let their imaginations run wild and pretend they are controlling the chocolate factory.

The first chocolate room was created at the Resort 25 years ago and this new development is the latest in unique themed suites; the Princess room is fit for little-royalty and perfect for those who love all things pink, Arabian Nights is the ultimate luxurious hideaway for loved-up couples, the Sleepover room is a gorgeous girlie room providing everything you need for the ultimate sleepover party, and the Dreamy Den boasts pretty pastels and stunning views over the lake, perfect for a romantic retreat.

New for 2021 there are four interactive Gangsta Granny themed rooms inspired by The World of David Walliams. All the drawings on the bedroom and bathroom walls have been hand-drawn and the 24-colour illustrated carpet took 12 weeks to produce. Children will sleep in the ‘Tower of London’ while parents sleep outside under the watchful eye of Ben and Granny. Children can sit back and relax with a good book on the mobility chair, or hunt around the room for a magical code to unlock the vault and get rewarded with some sweets from Raj’s shop.

Other themed rooms include the Arctic Explorer, Moon Voyage and Splish Splash, the Resort is also home to the UK’s only CBeebies hotel, offering endless unforgettable family fun adventures.

We were really excited to partner with Cadbury to create our new chocolate room. After a fun-filled day of thrilling world-class rollercoasters and splashtastic water rides, families can continue the magic in the chocolate factory themed suite and hunt for the hidden chocolate bars.
